12. Hot Foil Stamping
Another numeral coating process that plays a very important role in the license plate industry is hot foil stamping. Also known as Dry roller coating, this method of coating is usually applied in the European market. However, it’s a good thing that it has been consequently adapted by the global market. Hot foil stamping can be considered as the best curing method for license plate manufactures that that has low production facilities. It is also very relevant to those who work in a limited industrial space.
In hot foil stamping, hot platen essentially presses the foil to the number plate. Although there are some license plate manufacturers who consider it as not a great equipment investment at all, you can still expect that usage of this system can lead to considerable high amount of consumable supplies. This system also optimizes space as well as power requirements similar to a liquid numeral curing system because of the lower rate of production of the machines. Meaning to say, it has the same level of production with the numerals system. But ideally is has also several beneficial aspects such as it eliminates solvents and provide an easier way of changing over between colors.
