14. UV Curable Inks
Recently, there have been significant improvements of UV curable inks in number plate machine especially in numeral coating. As a result of these dramatic advancements along with computer technology have opened newer height of opportunities for license plate manufacturers in meeting the all the durability prerequisites of number plates. Chief benefits of UV curable inks include the reduction of traditional solvent flumes and a more compact system. But on the other side of the equation, this system produces rigorous odours. Another requirement is a UV light curing system which could pose subsequent risks to the inmate operators especially from lamps as heat and ozone generation.
